As Department Manager Mechanical Development your role involves taking on challenging tasks and responsibilities within our Mechanics Department.

Sioux Technologies develops and produces state-of-the-art technology for the top end of the international high-tech community. Examples include a complex lithography machine, a compact electron microscope, a smart home automation system. We raise the bar high and we often achieve the impossible. We do so together, as a team of enthusiastic mechanics, electronics, software, mechatronics and mathematics specialists.

As Department Manager in Mechanics, you will oversee our Mechanics programs for high-end systems and manage the entire portfolio of our projects together with your two Group leads. You will cultivate and lead your team, attract top talent and nurturing our competence in Mechanics at Sioux. Your team will serve as the linchpin, connecting customers, development teams, operations, and suppliers. Your responsibilities will encompass defining and implementing operational and organizational processes to ensure world-class Mechanical development.

This is what you bring to the table

  • A completed MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable)
  • You have significant experience in complex, multi-disciplinary high-tech systems development and Mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the High Tech Domain.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and guide other Engineers, designers and architects.
  • Your communication skills are outstanding, enabling effective stakeholder management within the organization, as well as with suppliers and customers.
  • Your leadership abilities are exemplary, capable of inspiring and influencing others while adeptly managing a team.
