Applied Physicist

Full time
Master, PhD
Eindhoven

As Applied Physicist, with a focus on metrology and calibration, you tie together all the strings to ensure the reliable performance of the systems developed by Sioux.

In this role, you will be involved in the design and realization of high-tech opto-mechatronic systems; with your primary focus being on the metrology and calibration of our products. You will be involved in the entire creation process from the ideation of conceptual solutions and theoretical modelling to the realization and testing to obtain highly accurate and precise systems. You will work on the development of optical systems, but also contribute to other challenges such as electron and x-ray physics.

What makes you enthusiastic as an Applied Physicist

  • Applying your broad physical know-how and creativity to realize innovative solutions for the high-tech industry.
  • Define and implement machine and calibration concepts to drive system performance to its absolute limits.
  • Being involved in a project during the whole product creation process: from demonstrating the feasibility of your concepts in functional models and calculation to translating them into a design to integration and verification testing.
  • Variation, not only between conceptual work, modelling, design work, and experiments in the lab, but also by working on one or more projects simultaneously and working on various technologies for different applications and markets.
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams including system architects, computational physicists, image processing mathematicians, and many others to get the job done.

Working in High-Tech.
At Sioux Technologies, we develop and build complex high-tech products, often at the limit of what is technologically possible. We do this together, within a close-knit team of enthusiastic specialists in electronics, software, mechanics, mechatronics, physics, optics and mathematics. This is how we bring high-tech to life that makes society healthier, safer, smarter, more sustainable and more fun. This could be for a large project at a renowned multinational or for a promising start-up developing the next breakthrough technology.

High Tech, High Fun, High Value

We can tell you all about the typical Sioux-culture and the high-tech challenging projects. About how you can develop yourself, like nowhere else. But we’d rather have you hear it from our own employees, including physicists Elif and Marnix.
