Sioux Technologies is seeking a dynamic High-Speed Digital / FPGA Architect with a unique blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen. 

Sioux develops and produces state-of-the-art technology for the top end of the international high-tech community. We raise the bar high, and we often achieve the impossible. Examples include a complex lithography machine, a compact electron microscope, a smart home automation system or an electric self-charging car. We do this with a team of enthusiastic electronics, software, mechanics, mechatronics and mathematics specialists.

What makes you enthusiastic as a High-Speed Digital/FPGA Architect?

In this role, you will not only be responsible for designing cutting-edge FPGA-based solutions, but also for leading the way in high-speed digital electronics with a keen eye on commercial viability.

At Sioux, you will be developing products for high-tech engineering or the medical market. As an High-Speed Digital/FPGA Architect at Sioux, you’re an all-rounder. We have a multifaceted project and customer portfolio. From electron microscopes to the most advanced pick & place machines, right up to customers with medical applications. You also enjoy working in a team and getting the maximum out of it together.

Your daily activities include:
  • Translating the customer’s wishes into an electronics specification and design for a product, a module or a system
  • Maintaining contact with stakeholders on all levels, from junior colleagues to the customer's management
  • Managing project teams in the technical field and supervising and coaching junior colleagues
  • You offer support for the integration and delivery of the end product at the customer
  • Advising management about strategic choices in the fields of road maps, technology and organization
  • Preparing offers and feasibility studies
  • Contributing to the definition and implementation of training programs

Your future workplace

This is what you bring to the table

  • You have an electronics background on a higher professional or university education level
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in electronics development, with a focus on high-speed digital/FPGA. You have also worked in a similar role on an academic level on multidisciplinary projects for a number of years.
  • You are an expert in your discipline and you enjoy conveying this to your colleagues
  • You have a knowledge of or experience with various development methods and technologies (modelling, simulations, etc.)
  • You have excellent social and communication skills
