NPI - New Product Introduction Engineer

As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer, you develop, test and optimize manufacturing processes to industrialize new products from design phase to mass production.

In this role, you are responsible for introducing mechatronic, (electro)-mechanical modules or even complete machines in our assembly facility for our customers in the semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industry, within the Brainport region and beyond. You work closely together with the multi-disciplinary design teams and your colleagues in the factory to achieve an optimal result in terms of quality, delivery times and cost.

From our assembly facility in Eindhoven, you like to keep yourself busy with:

  • Building up knowledge of the product and production processes so that the functionality, manufacturability, risks, and applications of the product are understood.
  • Ensuring from the start of the design that the product can be produced efficiently and meets the requirements agreed upon with the customer.
  • Setting up the assembly process and initiating and implementing improvements in various aspects throughout the process, with the goal of achieving efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Working closely together with other NPI Engineers, customers, project managers, and other colleagues.
  • Being the link between new production processes.
  • Ensuring a seamless transition from New Product Introduction to the volume production phase and pass it on to Production Engineering team.

Your future workplace

What do you bring to the table?

  • You hold a bachelor or master degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering.
  • At least two years in a similar role in the field of mechatronics.
  • Have extensive knowledge of assembly and production processes and the associated quality assurance, including the applied production resources and control/test equipment.
  • You are familiar with FMEA, 8D method, process capability, and statistical analysis methods such as SPC.
  • Have good communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Be accurate and able to present your positions clearly and convincingly.
