IntroductionAs a Semicon Software Architect you develop state-of-the-art software for challenging high-tech products and machines.

In this role, you support our customers with high-quality, user-friendly, and cost-efficient software solutions in the semiconductor industry within the “Medical Valley” and beyond. Your software expertise plays a vital role in bringing high-tech solutions to life, like operating equipment, image and data analysis, process management and providing insight into large data sets.

What excites you as a Semicon Software Architect (m/f/w)?

From our office in Erlangen and sometimes at our clients’ premises you like to keep yourself busy with:

  • Collaborating with customers / stakeholders to define the product architecture
  • Analyzing customer needs in software requirement engineering
  • Designing, analyzing, implementing and testing the control software including hardware abstraction layer, devices and domain layer, application layer, human machine interface
  • Conducting peer reviews to ensure product quality
  • Leading the development team and ensuring the team performance
  • Working as an integral part of a scrum team and handling user stories across the full stack
  • Developing functionality using agile practices, emphasizing speed and quality

Your future workplace

This is what you bring to the table

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in technical software development across different roles, (product) environments and / or projects
  • You have experience with object-oriented programming (OOP), object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), as well as experience with PC-based control systems, embedded controllers, and/or motion controllers, systems programming and leading a team.
  • You have working experience within the Semiconductor industry, technical domains such as wafer fabrication, assembly and test facilities and understand concepts such as preventive maintenance, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and FDC (Fault Detection and Classification)
  • Good communication skills, skilled in presenting technical information to technical and non-technical partners, stakeholder management and risk management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% worldwide
