Senior Software Engineer, based in China

Sioux is an international company with multiple R&D centers in Europe and R&D centers in Vietnam, Singapore and China. Because of the rapid growth of our Asia operations we are currently looking for talented Software Designers to join our team in China. As software engineer, you are responsible for the software design, implementation, and integration. Next to that, you are deeply involved in writing the technical requirements. You want to grow towards being the technical lead of the software development team.

Your main responsibilities are

  • Connect with customer closely to understand, record, analyze and confirm user requirements
  • Create module level technical design individually by digging deep into user requirements
  • Deliver high quality codes comply with both technical design and coding style, QMS policy, etc.
  • Cooperate with teams to integrate multiple modules into functional subsystem
  • Record all developing activities into documents, make sure an integral track of software developing lifecycle
  • Perform unit test for own codes, cooperate with testers to complete other related tests
  • Trouble shoot program issues, keep tracking defects and fix ASAP
  • Join scrum team to connect with every team member, try all out to ensure the success of product release

This is what we're looking for

  • Master degree or above of computer science or related field
  • At least three years of experience with technical software development in various roles and in various (product) environments and/or projects
  • Good understanding of software development process (design, development, deployment)
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming
  • Proficiency with API development, master at least one of the following frameworks: ExpressJS, SpringBoot
  • Proficiency with at least one of following programming languages: Node.JS, C#, Python, familiar with .Net Framework is a plus
  • Proficiency with SQL, familiar with one of the mainstream RDBMS such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgresSQL
  • Familiar with data stream processing such as Kafka, Pulsar
  • Familiar with message queue such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
  • Experiences with various development methods and technologies (Agile, TDD, etc.)
  • Proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git, TFS, etc.
  • Team up with team members to face all kinds of challenges
  • Good communication skills
  • Eager to take ownership and keep open mind of technic
  • You like to be given the freedom and responsibility to organize your work by yourself
  • Ability to work efficiently within a geographical distributed team, Proficient in Chinese and English
