As a Prototype Mechanical Technician, you are responsible for assembling, adjusting, inspecting, and testing newly developed machines, systems, and sub-modules.

In this role, you apply your knowledge of manufacturability and assembly processes to ensure product quality. You work closely with a team to realize new products and are responsible for assembling systems, often without detailed work instructions. Throughout this process, you play a key role as a mechanical technician, contributing to a wide range of mechatronic products.

From our assembly facility in Eindhoven, you like to:

  • Assemble and adjust mechatronic modules and systems.
  • Test modules and complete machines.
  • Troubleshoot problems in the assembly process.
  • Modify components using machining equipment (eg CNC).
  • Identify and propose process and product improvements.
  • Be involved as a Prototype Mechanical Technician from the earliest product design phases and providing valuable technical input.

Your future workplace

This is what you bring to the table

  • A completed MBO (vocational) degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with precision mechanics and mechatronics as applied in high-tech instruments and equipment.
  • Experience in assembling, installing, adjusting, and testing mechatronic systems or modules, preferably in prototype machine building.
  • Experience reading mechanical engineering drawings, preferably created in NX, including 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Experience manufacturing parts on lathes and milling machines, both conventional and CNC, is considered an advantage.
  • You are resourceful, creative, independent, and enthusiastic.
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written, and possess strong communication skills.
