Senior Optical Designer

Full time
Master, PhD
Eindhoven

As a Senior Optical Designer you guide the entire product creation process from concept phase to industrialization for high-tech products and machines.

In this role, you support our customers in developing high-tech systems, where electron and x-ray physics, contamination, ultra high vacuum and thermal design play an important part. You will work for customers in the semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industry, within the Brainport region and beyond. Your optical expertise plays a guiding role in bringing high-tech solutions to life, like wafer steppers and electron microscopes.

What excites you as a Senior Optical Designer?

From our office in Eindhoven and sometimes at our clients' premises you like to keep yourself busy with:

  • Applying your optical system design expertise and creativity to realize innovative solutions for the high-tech industry
  • Being involved throughout the entire product creation process: from ideation and demonstrating the feasibility of your concepts through functional models and calculation, to translating them into robust designs followed by integration and verification testing.
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams including system architects, computational physicists, image processing mathematicians, and many others to get the job done.
  • Guiding colleagues from other disciplines to further develop and realize your design, while also mentoring junior engineers in their projects and supporting the growth of their (technical) talents.

Sounds good so far? We'd love to tell you more…
